Five reasons to be proud of yourself

If you are feeling unmotivated, stuck, or confused about your goal it could be because you have not taken the time to acknowledge your achievements. Telling yourself that you are in fact proud of the efforts you putting into your life is really important. Even if you aren’t necessarily working towards a goal, it’s still important to be proud of yourself. It helps to train your brain to be more positive. The video above is a quick one that simply lists five reasons you should be proud of yourself . Here’s an exercise you can do today: get a piece of paper and write down five things that make you feel proud of yourself. They can be big or little achievements. They can even be things you like about your personality.
I am proud of myself for getting my driver’s license
I am proud of myself for attending University
I am proud of myself for making other’s smile
I am proud of myself for making a meal for myself
I am proud of myself for always being open to making new friends
Everyone’s life is different. Things that come easy to other’s might be difficult for you. For me, making a meal is a challenge since I am often too sick to even get little things done. Other’s have no problem doing it. Someone else might find it hard to speak in front of a crowd whereas I love it. This is why we should never compare ourselves to other’s. Instead, focus on your own life and look at the all the things you do that you should be proud about. Try to do this exercise at least twice a month. You can do it every day if you like. It’s a good way to end your day on a positive note and keep you motivated.
